Digital technologies and connected objects have the potential to reduce resource use and facilitate circular systems and circular business models. The goal of this workshop was to discuss not only the barriers hindering the shift towards a circular economy but also drivers and enablers in order to overcome these barriers. More specifically how digital transformation can be shaped to ensure that it supports transitions towards more sustainable societies?
In this regard the Research group "Sustainable Ecosystems Enginnering" organized a special virtual panel discussion at the conference Adaptive 2021.
