Herzlich Willkommen!

M.Sc. Benjamin Acar

Hello!

My name is Benjamin Acar and I joined the team of 'Applied Machine-Learning and Simulation' at the Institute for Software and System Engineering as a PhD student. First, I want to emphasize my appreciation for joining your team!

Here are a few words about me:

I did my master’s degree in Technomathematics (mathematics with a minor in physics) at the Karlsruher Institute for Technology. While I studied for my master’s degree I worked as a software engineer in the banking industry and during that time my interest for IT studies grew. Based on that experience I decided to write my final thesis in the field of Big Data Analytics / Machine Learning, especially in the context of classification models – concrete – the 'Support Vector Data Description' method. As a result I generated a statistic error bound that measures the impact of data-reduction to the model accuracy.

My research interests including Machine Learning, statistics and stochastic modelling.

I am looking forward to learning even more from you!

M.Sc. Yunsu Cho

Hi everyone  ,

I am Yunsu Cho and have recently joined as a doctoral researcher in a Dependable and Autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems (DACS) at the Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISSE).

Before I joined here, I have completed master’s degree from Kiel University of Applied Sciences. During my masters, I have worked on application of generative adversarial networks for the task of human pose estimation. During that time. I have also worked as a student research assistant in the machine learning and image-processing group in my university in a project called UFO -Tri Net. For the future, I would like to explore and gain deeper knowledge in the topics of Artificial Intelligence.

Thank you for welcoming me to the research group! I am happy to become part of the ISSE.

Wir freuen uns riesig auf die kommende Zusammenarbeit und wünschen Benjamin und Yunsu alles Gute und viel Erfolg!
