SSE Group Presents Groundbreaking Research on Cryptography at ESEM 2024

The Secure Software Engineering (SSE) Group will showcase its recent research (two papers) at the 18th ACM/IEEE International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement (ESEM).

These papers focus on improving the secure and correct adoption of cryptography APIs. One paper introduces SafEncrypt, a user-friendly and secure API designed to shield Java developers from cryptography complexities. The second paper explores the capabilities of ChatGPT in detecting cryptography misuse and compares its performance to static analysis tools. Together, these studies contribute to advancing the secure integration of cryptography in software development.
