Our paper "Software Process as a Service: Towards A Software Process Ecosystem", was successfully presented at the International Conference on Software and Systems Processes (ICSSP 2024), which took place from September 4-6, 2024, in Munich.
The paper was awarded the Best Paper Award at the conference!
This research, in collaboration with Oliver Greulich, Christoph Knieke, Bassel Rafie, Marco Kuhrmann, and Prof. Rausch, introduces an innovative Software Process as a Service (SPaaS) approach. We propose a dynamic Software Process Ecosystem where complex software processes are made available as web-based services. This ecosystem significantly enhances the accessibility and usability of tailored processes, allowing users to interact with and generate project-specific artifacts in real time without needing extensive local installations.
Our approach has been validated through expert evaluations, showing that SPaaS offers a scalable, future-proof solution that simplifies the management of large-scale, regulated projects, making it easier to comply with standards and deliver efficient software processes.
