PhD research internship
At Ramblr.ai in Munich, our colleague Patrick Knab is researching how computer vision models can better capture semantic and action concepts.
Our research assistant Patrick Knab is currently completing a research internship at Ramblr.ai in Munich, a company that connects the digital and physical worlds using AI to support humans and machines with real-time multimodal agents to perform tasks. In the field of computer vision, he is investigating how models for image and video recognition can be used to better capture both semantic concepts and action concepts in machine learning models. The aim is to deepen scientific questions in an application-related context and to gain practical impulses for his dissertation project.
The company is already a partner in the research project Show2Instruct research project and impressively demonstrates how fruitful cooperation between research and industry can be.
In addition to research, the stay also offers insights into the startup world, as Ramblr is located in the heart of Munich's startup scene - the Munich Urban Colab - is located here.
The research group headed by Prof. Dr. Christian Bartelt also encourages employees to enrich their dissertations with industrial expertise through research internships.
